• Measure the largest part of your chest and waist while wearing the type of clothing you would normally wear under your vest.
• Take the largest of those two measurements and add 3-4 inches.
• The vest number size is the measurement of the chest of the vest itself.
• For example, a size 48 vest means the vests chest is 48 inches.
• If your chest measures 48 inches, then you need to choose a size 50-52 depending on your waist size. 
• The waist of the vest will be about 2-4 inches smaller than the chest size, so a size 48 vest would have a waist measurement of 44-46 inches.
• If your waist is larger than your chest, take that into account with the formula above when you choose your size.
